KPK Duga Nurdin Halid Knows Access To Case Management In Supreme Court Through Judge Gazalba Saleh

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Nurdin Halid on Tuesday, December 12. He was questioned regarding the alleged gratification management that ensnared the inactive Supreme Court Judge Gazalba Saleh. Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said investigators studied several things from Nurdin as a witness. Among them were access to case management at the Supreme Court (MA). Nurdin Halid, the witness was present and his knowledge was investigated, among others, related to the alleged access to case management through the GS suspect's path,'' Ali said in his written statement, Wednesday, December 13. Ali did not specify what case the case was being handled. However, a source said that Nurdin was taking care of the case through Gazalba. KPK again named Gazalba as a suspect related to the alleged receipt of gratification and money laundering. This is the second time that he had an orange dream after being acquitted in a pretrial at the South Jakarta District Court (PN). In this case, Gazalba is suspected of receiving a gift since 2018 and related to the management of several cases within the Supreme Court (MA). Among other things, the cassation filed by former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo.

The money that Gazalba received from the case management called the KPK reached Rp15 billion. Furthermore, Gazalba used his acceptance to buy economic value assets so that he was charged with the money laundering article. One of the purchases made by Gazalba was a house worth Rp7.6 billion in cash in the Cibubur area, East Jakarta.
