JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Satpol PP has sealed the KODE nightclub on Jalan Cikatomas, Rawa Barat Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, which is suspected of being a place for trafficking and abuse of narcotics and psychotropic substances and selling alcoholic beverages suspected of violating excise regulations.

Head of the Supervision and Reliability Division of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Satpol PP Business Crime, Eko Saptono, said the sealing was carried out based on a joint raid carried out by the Directorate of Drug Crimes at the National Police Headquarters together with Customs and Excise.

"After a urine test was carried out on visitors, there were several positive visitors to narcotics class I and hard drugs and found tablets containing narcotics class I and psychotropic substances," said Eko as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.

The legal basis for sealing the place of business is based on DKI Jakarta Provincial Regulation Number 8 of 2007 concerning Public Order, Article 54 of the Regulation of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Number 18 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Tourism Businesses, and the Letter of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Office Number e-1780/PW.01.0 dated December 6, 2023 addressed to the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial PP regarding the request for closure of KODE (PT. Past Cuan Besar).

Then the Letter of the Directorate of Drug Crime of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police Number B/4578/XI/RES.4.2./2023/Dittipidnarkoba dated December 1, 2023 regarding the notification of the results of raids at the KODE nightclub, as well as the Letter of revocation of standard certificates through the OSS-RBA system a.n. Governor of DKI Jakarta, Head of DPMPTSP DKI Jakarta Province and a. a. Mayor of Adm. South Jakarta, Head of DPMPTSP Adm City. South Jakarta.

"The purpose of sealing the place of business is to minimize business places that violate regional regulations and/or regional regulations in the DKI Jakarta Province," said Eko.

This is also an effort to create a conducive business climate in order to realize Jakarta as a global city and create peace and order in the community.
