SEMARANG - Police arrested the alleged perpetrator of vandalizing a car in the parking lot of the Semarang City KPU office on Jalan Pemuda, Semarang City, Central Java.

Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar confirmed that the alleged perpetrator of the female vandalism had been secured.

"The perpetrator has been arrested, now he is in the PPA unit of the Criminal Investigation Unit," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.

However, Irwan has not explained in detail the investigation of the alleged perpetrator handled by the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Semarang Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Previously, 11 cars parked in the parking lot of the Semarang City KPU office at the Pandanaran building on Jalan Pemuda, Semarang, were damaged by unknown people by being charged.

Most of the cars that were known to have been damaged on Saturday (9/12) were official cars belonging to the Semarang City KPU.

While the rest are cars belonging to other agencies whose offices are in the same building as the KPU.

The police have checked the CCTV footage and identified one person suspected of being the perpetrator.
