Visiting West Sumatra, Prabowo Visits Victims Of The Marapi Eruption

Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto visited the victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi at the disaster response post in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Saturday, December 9. In addition to condolences, Prabowo also provided compensation to the heirs of the eruption victims.

"I came here to convey my condolences to the families of the victims," Prabowo said in a press statement received on Saturday, December 9.

The presidential candidate number 2 also reviewed the condition of the public kitchen and the Health Service Post to ensure that the refugees get good treatment and all their needs can be met. Prabowo also wants to ensure the safety of evacuation relocation, especially for children and the elderly.

"I would like to thank the government for all the officers, all those who have worked hard to help save the victims, carry bodies and those who are still injured," Prabowo said.

The former Danjen Kopassus appreciated the hard work and cooperation of all parties in helping the victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi. On that occasion, Prabowo also handed over 35 motorbikes for TNI and Polri soldiers to operate to help the community.

"I express my appreciation for the close cooperation between all agencies, between local governments, other agencies, the TNI, Polri, all working well. Thank you on behalf of the government to all officers who have worked hard to help save the victims carrying the bodies and those who are still injured," said Prabowo.

"With the hard work of the brothers and sisters, with a sense of responsibility from all parties, we can overcome all difficulties. Therefore, once again I thank you," he added.
