JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Winning Team (TPN), Novi Basuki said that presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo chose to rest and was scheduled to attend family events on the 12th day of the 2024 election campaign.

"Meanwhile, the news I have received is the same," said Novi when contacted by Antara in Jakarta, Saturday.

Earlier on Friday (8/12), Deputy Chairperson of TPN Andika Perkasa said that Ganjar and vice presidential candidate Mahfud Md would reduce time in the field and focus on preparing for the first debate held at the Office of the General Elections Commission (KPU) RI, Tuesday (12/12).

"So Mas Ganjar and Pak Mahfud will also be given 12 (December) on Tuesday to specifically get a 'briefing' or we call it 'coaching'. Now that is in accordance with what field will be, who is the 'coach', all kinds of things, it has been prepared, what is clear is that they have rest time and will not be in the field to face the first, yes 'first impression' is always very important," said Andika.

Earlier on Friday morning, Ganjar attended the ProGRESSIVE Declaration (Gotong Royong Program for Prosperous and Inclusive Economy) at the SMESCO Building, Jakarta.

Then, Ganjar left for Cirebon to attend the National Dialogue at Muhammadiyah University Cirebon at 15:30 WIB before ending his campaign that day by attending dinner with Muhammadiyah Cirebon Leaders at Muhammadiyah University Cirebon at 18:30 WIB.

The Indonesian KPU on Monday, (13/11), has appointed three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to participate in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres).

The results of the draw and determination of the number of participants in the 2024 presidential election on Tuesday, (14/11), the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.

The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024. Then, the voting schedule on February 14, 2024.
