AMIN National Team: Jokowi Has Massively Built Toll Roads, Needs To Be Balanced With Railways

JAKARTA - The National Team (Timnas) for the Winning of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) stated that the candidate pair, if elected to win the 2024 presidential election, will increase the railway line (KA) to support cheap transportation facilities in the country.

"In fact, Pak Jokowi has built a fairly massive toll road at this time, it seems necessary to balance it with the railway line," said the spokesman for the AMIN national team, Usamah Abdul Aziz, in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 8.

According to Usamah, with the mode of public transportation for trains, logistics costs and passengers will be cheaper and cheaper on time.

Rail-based transportation, he continued, did not experience traffic jams, so it was hoped that the distribution of the railway line could be felt not only on the island of Java.

"Because (if) talking about logistics, certainty of departure, cheap transportation, (then) it can be answered by train," he said.

Previously, while campaigning in Lampung and Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, presidential candidate Anies Baswedan promised to build a railway line.

For Banjarmasin, Anies stated that he would build a railway line to connect Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru.

In fact, he had mentioned the name of former president director of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Ignasius Jonan in order to help realize his dream.

Meanwhile in Lampung, Anies stated that he would build two train lines so that travel time could be faster.
