National Police Chief: Police Guard Peaceful Elections, Maintain Unity-Unity

JAYAPURA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo invites all components to promote peaceful elections in Papua.

The National Police will synergize with the TNI and all stakeholders to oversee and secure the election stages so that everything can run safely and smoothly.

"The National Police will continue to oversee the KPU and Bawaslu in carrying out their commitment to guarding peaceful elections so that it must continue to be inflamed so that the elections run safely and in an orderly manner," said the National Police Chief in Jayapura as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 8.

The National Police Chief, who accompanied the TNI Commander to visit Jayapura, hoped that by continuing to be inflamed so that the election would run safely and in an orderly manner, the public would also be free to choose the one to choose.

"The most important thing is to maintain unity and integrity so that in the future what is the national goal and ideals of the nation can run safely, smoothly according to the expectations of the people," hoped the National Police Chief.

TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto previously hoped that the elections in Papua would run smoothly.

The TNI will help from distribution to security at TPS in collaboration with the National Police, Bawaslu and KPU in the regions.

"Moreover, we have witnessed the peace declaration of the 2024 General Election," said the Commander.

The Papua Regional Police and the XVII Cenderawasih Regional Military Command currently oversee four provinces, namely Papua, Mountains Papua, South Papua and Central Papua.
