Beware, Thieves Often Use Ojol Attributes When Actioning To Trick Residents

JAKARTA - A gang of motorbike thieves took advantage of the online motorcycle taxi (Ojol) attributes to carry out the theft of residents of boarding houses on Jalan Multi Karya III, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

Although the residents caught the perpetrator, the theft went smoothly. The reason is, residents think the perpetrator who uses the ojol attribute is waiting for passengers.

Neneng, an eye witness to the incident, said that the incident began when the two perpetrators of the theft who were riding into residential areas in RT 09.

After seeing the stolen vehicle's target, continued Neneng, one of the perpetrators got off. Then the perpetrator damaged the motorcycle key house.

This theft was seen by residents, but because one of the perpetrators wore the attributes of an online motorcycle taxi driver, residents thought the motorcycle taxi driver was waiting for passengers.

"I think online motorcycle taxi players," said Neneng, Friday, December 8.

After getting the target, finally the two perpetrators stepped on the gas leaving the location. Neneng said, previously two residents' motorbikes had been stolen in the area.

"The victim has reported the theft to the Matraman Police," he said.
