Presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo said he was ready to develop affordable People's Business Credit (KUR) and a Lapak Credit program for MSME players if elected to win the 2024 presidential election.

Ganjar, who has led Central Java for two terms, namely 2013-2023, has implemented the two programs at the provincial level and aspires to take the concept to the national level with vice presidential candidates MahfudMD.

"MSMEs are one of our focuses, Mr. Mahfud and I. My experience in Central Java shows the huge potential of MSMEs with a variety of extraordinary creativity," said Ganjar at the declaration of the Mutual Cooperation Program for the Prosperous and Inclusive Economy (Progressive) in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 8.

During his time as governor of Central Java, Ganjar has lowered the KUR interest rate to 7 percent and currently reaches 6 percent per year.

At that time, the National KUR interest rate was still high, which was 12 percent.

"This program really helps MSME players in Central Java to get access to capital. With this KUR, many MSMEs in Central Java have succeeded and improved their class," explained Ganjar.

In addition to affordable KUR, Ganjar also created a Credit Lapak program. The program is specifically for small traders, such as market traders and stalls, which help them in developing their small businesses.

With the support of entrepreneurs who are members of Progressive, Ganjar is optimistic that it can improve the condition of MSME actors.

"These two programs are very helpful and we will continue. Especially with the support of entrepreneurs of this size, we hope to implement them throughout Indonesia. We can help many MSMEs to improve their class," said Ganjar.

Ganjar believes that Progressive volunteers can respond to problems that people often complain about, especially regarding low income and the availability of jobs, more quickly.
