Polda Metro Ready To Face Firli Bahuri's Pretrial Session Next Week

JAKARTA - The pretrial hearing proposed by the inactive Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, will be held Monday, December 11. Polda Metro Jaya has prepared steps to deal with the lawsuit.

However, the details of the steps that have been prepared have not been conveyed. The reason is that it has entered the realm of trial, which will also be known to the public.

"That's the realm in the pretrial court," said Trunoyudo.

Firli Bahuri through his attorney filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court. The lawsuit was received on November 24 with number 129/Pid.Pra/2023/JKT.SEL.

The head of the South Jakarta District Court has appointed the sole judge Imelda Herawati to examine and try the judicial application case. The inaugural trial is planned to be held on December 11.

The main problem in the lawsuit is the determination of Firli Bahuri as a suspect in the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya stated that it was not afraid of Firli Bahuri's resistance steps. Director of Special Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said he was ready to face it. The Legal Team (Bidkum) will be deployed.

On the other hand, Ade did not mind Firli Bahuri's move to file a pretrial lawsuit. Because, it is his right.

However, investigators from Polda Metro Jaya still respect the decision chosen by the Chairman of the KPK.

"That is the right of the suspect or the suspect's family through his attorney. Investigators in principle respect for it," said Ade.
