Police Arrest Lawyers Obscene Minors

SERANG - The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Banten Police arrested the perpetrator of sexual abuse of a minor with the initials JM (43), a lawyer.

Kasubdit IV Renakta Ditreskrimum Banten Police Commissioner Herlia Hartarani said the detention was carried out in accordance with the police report LP/B/308/XI/SPKT.I Ditreskrimum/2023

/Polda Banten which was reported by the victim's mother SA (42) on Wednesday (15/11) at 17.14 WIB.

Herlia conveyed that the incident of sexual abuse took place in November 2022 at a hotel in Serang City. The victim was persuaded and threatened by the suspect.

"Based on the testimony of the victim's witness, he was persuaded by giving a cellphone and being threatened with an air softgun," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 7.

The suspect then committed immoral acts against the victim. This incident resulted in the victim experiencing trauma.

"Furthermore, the victim reported this incident to the Banten Police SPKT," he said.

The perpetrator has been named a suspect. The perpetrator was charged with Article 81 in conjunction with Article 76d and/or Article 82 in conjunction with Article 76e of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection.
