JAKARTA - Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Zainal A Paliwang ensured that the 34th province was a feasible area to invest in.

The reason is that the Kaltara area is located on the Indonesian Archipelago Sea Lane (ALKI) II. In addition, Kaltara is a conducive area to invest.

"Kaltara has investment business potential in various sectors, this is very important so that it can guarantee sustainable economic growth and support the future life of the people of Kaltara and Indonesia," said the Governor when opening the Kaltara Investment Forum (KIF) 2023 virtually, Thursday, December 7.

The governor realized that investment in the infrastructure sector is important for the development of Kaltara. For example, building a transportation network infrastructure that aims to increase connectivity and logistics efficiency.

"This is not only beneficial for local businesses, but also makes Kaltara an attractive investment destination," he said.

As a consideration of investing, Kaltara has the lowest crime rate in Indonesia and already has adequate supporting infrastructure. This is evidenced by an assessment by the BPKM of the Ministry of Investment of Kaltara Province, which is in the very good category with a score of 80.491.

"Through this KIF 2023, I hope and invite participants to be able to explore the potential opportunities to invest in Kaltara to build a prosperous and sustainable future together," he said.

It is planned that KIF 2023 will last for 1 day by inviting stakeholders to consider investment potential in Kaltara.
