The Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to apprehend two buskers with tattoos who beat an extraordinary school student (SLB) with special needs around the scene.

The two perpetrators were arrested after the police received a report from the victim's parents.

"The two perpetrators with the initials MAW alias Bewok and IA alias Peloy were immediately arrested at the same location. The evidence confiscated was the victim's clothes and helmets as well as the clothes of the two perpetrators at the time of the incident," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cakung Police, AKP Kholid when confirmed, Wednesday, December 6, afternoon.

When arrested, the two perpetrators admitted their actions. They admitted that they did not have a permanent job, their daily lives were only busking for money.

Furthermore, the two perpetrators were taken to the Cakung Police Headquarters for further processing. From his statement, the two perpetrators also only graduated from elementary school (SD).

Based on the results of police interrogation, the two perpetrators admitted that they had ganged up on the victim with special needs because they were upset that they were not given money.

Cakung Police Chief Kompol Panji Ali Candra said that in his action the perpetrators with the initials IA alias Peloy and A (DPO) beat the victim in the eyes of the right temple.

"Perpetrator A (DPO) pushed the victim's helmet back. Then the MA perpetrator hit him on the victim's forehead. The beatings were thrown by IA and A (DPO)," said Kompol Panji.

After being questioned by investigators, the perpetrator with the initials IA was arrested for a similar case in 2019. The perpetrator was detained for 10 months.

"The perpetrator's initials IA, had already abused him. So when he was not given money, he abused the victim," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a student with special needs of class 2 SLB suffered a number of injuries after being beaten by a group of street buskers with a body filled with tattoos. The victim was beaten because he asked for money while busking.

It was later discovered that the victim asked the perpetrators for their request because they suffered from deafness and muteness.

"The victims were deaf and mute. The perpetrators came to busking. The perpetrators were disappointed because the victim, the victim, was deaf," said Cakung Police Chief Kompol Panji Ali Candra to VOI, Wednesday, December 6.
