Kaltara Holds Declaration Of Peaceful Elections

TARAKAN Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) together with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) and community organizations as well as political parties held a declaration of a peaceful 2024 General Election in Tarakan.

Participants who attended simultaneously declared a peace election declaration accompanied by the signing of the declaration of a peace election by the Governor of Kaltara Zainal Arifin Paliwang.

"The election is not only space for people to choose, but also a process of maturity and also a momentum test for the nation regarding how far democratic values have become part of the nation's identity," said Zainal, Tuesday, December 6 evening.

The governor invited all stakeholders in Kaltara to ensure that the elections were peaceful, not just words. Rather, it is a joint commitment and effort to create a conducive situation during its implementation.

"I advise during the campaign period not to be provocative, unproductive or potentially cause unrest in the community. I also hope that all components will succeed in the upcoming 2024 election together," he said.

At the end of the event, all representatives from forkopimda elements and related parties read the closing statement of the Damai Election declaration which was read out one by one by each representative.
