JAKARTA - The General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Democrats Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) conducted a political campaign in the Pondok Pinang area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta. In his campaign, the incumbent candidate for the DPR RI for the DKI Jakarta Dapil II Melani Leimena Suharli and the Candidate for the Incumbent of the DKI Jakarta DPRD in the 7 South Jakarta Dapil, Ali Muhammad Johan.AHY assessed that DKI Jakarta is a big opportunity for Democratic cadres. Therefore, he invited his cadres to increase seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD. "We want in the future, the Democrats of Jakarta to be stronger so that we have a good chance for the future election of the Governor of DKI Jakarta," AHY told reporters in the Pondok Pinang area, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 5.AHY also hopes that for the DPR RI, many members of the legislature from the Democratic cadre of DKI Jakarta were elected. Because according to him, Jakarta is a defining barometer in politics.. "As for the DPR RI, we also hope that more members of the legislature from DKI Jakarta because Jakarta will become the center of gravity as a very decisive political barometer," he said.

For this reason, AHY admitted that he would tour each electoral district to participate in campaigning for Democratic candidates later. Thus, he hoped, Democratic candidates would be even more enthusiastic to increase their votes. "I hope to provide support to friends who are missing anywhere, but it feels very difficult, only 70 days away. I want to focus and prioritize potential areas and areas that are still not safe, right," he concluded.
