The Chaos Of Butet Artist Kertaradjasa Intervened By The Police, The Organizing Committee Speaks Up

The many reports regarding the alleged intervention of Butet artist Kertaradjasa and scriptwriter Agus Noor, the theater stage organizing committee, provide clarification.

The committee clarified the issue of intervention by the police. The intervention was previously said to have occurred during the December 1-2 2023 stage, then.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the police only carried out security at every cultural stage event at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM).

In fact, events involving presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the TIM still receive security.

"People's activities in the Central Jakarta area, whether it's in the form of cultural arts and so on, of course we have to guarantee that these activities take place safely," said Kombes Susatyo, Tuesday, December 5.

The police chief ensured that the actors and event materials had never intervened with the police.

Personnel deployed for security only coordinate with event organizers related to permits, with security guards related to security, and traffic control if needed.

Meanwhile, the organizing committee for the 'Dark Secretariat of Kayan Production' Indah admitted that there was no intervention by the police as the rumors circulated.

According to Indah, she directly took care of licensing to the police. Permits to the police were also carried out before the performance event.

"I just want to convey that I did the processing related to licensing letters to the police. Then there was no intimidation in the signing of the letter," he said.
