Power Outages in 2 Lebanese Cities Due to Israeli Artillery Fire

JAKARTA - A number of places in southern Lebanon were bombarded by Israel, turning off the electric lighting in two cities in that country.

The heavy artillery fire launched by  Israel hit high-voltage transmission lines in the cities of Deir Mimas and Kafr Kila causing power to be suddenly cut off, the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported.

NNA, reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Tuesday, December 5, reported that Israel also launched attacks on the outskirts of Naqoura city.

Meanwhile, the Hezbollah group admitted to attacking 10 Israeli military posts in places close to Lebanon-Israel.

On Monday, December 4, Israel revealed that three of its soldiers were injured as a result of Lebanese artillery fire targeting military sites in northern Israel.

Tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border continue to rise, following armed contact between Israeli forces and Hezbollah after Israel attacked the Gaza Strip following a Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.

Israel launched another bomb attack on the Gaza Strip on Friday after ending a week-long ceasefire with Hamas.
