Medan District Court Judge Sentenced Dead Courier 43 Kilograms Of Shabu

The panel of judges at the Medan District Court, North Sumatra, sentenced the defendant Wardani Ibrahim alias Ibrahim, a resident of Aceh who was a courier for 43 kilograms of methamphetamine.

"Punishing the defendant Wardani Ibrahim alias Ibrahim with the death penalty," said Chief Judge Dahlan while reading the verdict at the Medan District Court as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 5.

The panel of judges said that the defendant Ibrahim was proven guilty and convincingly in violation of Article 114 (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

The essence of the article is mutual malicious conspiracy without rights or against the law, offering to sell, sell, buy, accept, become intermediaries, in buying and selling, exchanging or delivering class I narcotics in the form of non-shabu-shabu-type plants weighing 43 kilograms.

"The aggravating thing is that the defendant's actions do not support the government's program in eradicating drugs, the defendant's actions are very dangerous and damaging to the younger generation," explained Judge Dahlan.

According to the panel of judges, the defendant Ibrahim's many shabu-shabu evidence was a serious threat to the community.

"Things that are mitigating are not found," said Dahlan.

After reading the verdict, the defendant's legal adviser, defendant Ibrahim and the public prosecutor, still expressed their thoughts and the judge gave them seven days to respond to the decision.

The decision from the panel of judges was the same as the demands made by the Public Prosecutor of the Medan District Attorney Risnawati Ginting who demanded death.

In the indictment, it was revealed that the defendant Ibrahim called Sofyan alias Tulang (separate file) to inform someone who left crystal methamphetamine items at his residence one night.

After agreeing, the person met Sofyan on Jalan Kakak Tua, Medan Sunggal District, Medan, to give him a bag containing methamphetamine. Then, Acong (DPO) contacted the defendant Wardani Ibrahim to order Sofyan to give the bag to EVI (DPO) for Rp. 300 million.

Then, Sofyan and Evi agreed to meet at the toll bridge area, Medan Marelan, Medan. Arriving at the location, Evi, who is a potential buyer, did not have Rp. 300 million so that the debt first and they did not agree.

In short, the defendant Wardani Ibrahim alias Ibrahim on Jalan TB. Simatupang, Medan, was arrested by the BNN apparatus along with evidence.
