TNI Commander Visits Police Headquarters To Discuss Elections Until Papua With National Police Chief Sigit

JAKARTA - TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto met with National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the National Police Headquarters (Mabes). During the meeting, the two discussed the latest issues ranging from the security of the General Election (Pemilu) to Papua. "The first is because I am a new official from the TNI Commander, so, there is time to visit several agencies. Incidentally, today is the place. I have several things to discuss," Agus told reporters, Tuesday, December 5. Then, the meeting also discussed the safety of the 2024 General Election. The plan is for TNI-Polri patrols from the lower to the upper levels to maintain the peace of the democratic party. "It is also discussed that there will be patrols with Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas to the level of the police chief, the regional police. Together with the synergy, the goal is that the 2024 election runs smoothly and safely according to the specified time," he said. In addition, Sigit said the meeting did not only discuss the 2024 General Election. Weather conditions to face problems in Papua are also discussed material. "Of course, other tasks that we continue to take care of besides the main tasks, of course, oversee various kinds of activities so that they can run well, I think how the future synergy will get better," said Sigit. Apart from the discussion on the latest issues, Sigit also called the meeting a momentum to strengthen the synergy between the TNI and Polri. Thus, the two agencies are united in dealing with various problems that occur.
