JAKARTA - Jalan Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta to the DPR/MPR building was closed by the police because of a demonstration held by the Association of All-Indonesian Village Governments (Apdesi), Tuesday morning, December 5.Kendaraan from Semanggi which will pass to Grogol, West Jakarta was diverted through Senayan. Meanwhile, vehicles from Cawang to Grogol are advised to use the Inner City toll road. At 08.00-18.00 WIB to avoid Gatot Subroto Street in front of the MPR/DPR RI due to an action of expressing opinions. Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro said that his party has also prepared traffic engineering, especially on Jalan Gatot Subroto. Nevertheless, he said, traffic diversion is situational. "Regarding traffic flow diversion is still situational, but we will see an escalation in the field," he said. Susatyo also appealed to the masses of the action to remain orderly in conveying their aspirations, there were no crowds entering and closing the toll road in front of the DPR/MPR RI Building. As for residents, Susatyo appealed to avoid the DPR/MPR area. "Please convey aspirations in an orderly and peaceful manner. Citizens are expected to use alternative routes to avoid overcrowding," said Susatyo.
