Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the South Solok Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Darizal, said two residents from South Solok who were victims were Siska Afrina and Frengky Candra.

"We are coordinating with the Agam BPBD to monitor the residents of South Solok who were victims, but until this morning there has been no news," said Darizal, quoted by ANTARA.

Siska Afrina, he said, is a resident of Jorong Beneng, Nagari Pasir Talang, Sungai Pagu District. Meanwhile, Frengky Candra Kusuma, a resident of Kako Koto, Nagari Abai, Sangir Batang Hari District.

Both, he continued, are students at Padang State University (UNP) in the final semester and are registered in the climbing record of Mount Marapi.

Currently, his party has not been able to confirm the condition of the two students because the joint team is still searching at the location. "Later, if there is further information, we will inform you again," said Darizal.

A resident of Sangir Batang Hari, Rismon, said that Frengky Candra's parents are currently at the foot of Mount Merapi to ensure the information received.

"Frengky is reportedly about to graduate in March and now his parents are at the Merapi eruption victims search post," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Padang City SAR Office, West Sumatra, Abdul Malik, confirmed that as many as 11 climbers of Mount Marapi were found dead after the volcanic eruption on Sunday.

Abdul said the number of survivors who were successfully recorded by the joint team was 75 people, of which 49 people were successfully evacuated safely.

Some of the evacuated climbers were taken to hospitals in Bukittinggi and Padang Panjang for intensive care. Meanwhile, several climbers have returned to their respective homes.
