Ma'ruf Amin Is Vaccinated, Fahri Hamzah Prays: Always Healthy, Mr. Kyai

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin received an injection of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Sinovac at his official residence, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 17.

Through the Twitter account @Kiyai_MarufAmin, Ma'ruf Amin shared the moment he was vaccinated. Gelora Party politician Fahri Hamzah responded to this Twitter via his Twitter account @Fahrihamzah who wished Ma'ruf well.

Previously it was reported, Ma'ruf said, after being vaccinated, he did not feel pain, dizzy, and tended to be just ordinary.

"I think (there will be an effect), it turns out that this vaccine, God willing, will not have any effect," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, February 17.

Furthermore, Ma'ruf invited the whole community, especially the elderly, to participate in the success of the national COVID-19 vaccination program by receiving vaccine injections.

"I invite everyone, let's take part in vaccination because it is hoped that this will enable the Indonesian people to experience immunity to this COVID-19. We do not know when this COVID-19 ends," he said.

The injection of the COVID-19 vaccine to Vice President Ma'ruf Amin was carried out by dr. Dwi Edi Wahono, SpDD, KGH, witnessed by Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono, and Chair of the COVID-19 Task Force Doni Monardo.

Dwi Edi Wahono admitted that he was a little awkward when he injected the vaccine into the Vice President's left arm, but he also felt proud to be able to carry out his duties well.

"It's a bit nervous, but I'm very proud to be trusted to serve the Vice President for vaccination, especially since this is a group of elderly people who are very vulnerable to COVID-19 infection and we must protect them together," said Wahono.

After being injected with the COVID-19 vaccine, the Vice President continued his duties by accompanying President Joko Widodo at the online Special Plenary Session of the 2020 Supreme Court (MA) Annual Report.
