Investigate Nanie Darham Film Star Death Case, Police Still Waiting For Autopsy Results

The South Jakarta Metro Police are still investigating the alleged malpractice case that killed the film star Nanie Darham.

It is known that Nanie died after undergoing a fat suction operation at a clinic in North Cipete, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, October 21, 2023.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro, said that his party was still waiting for the autopsy results of the victim to find out the cause of Nanie Darham's death.

"We will wait. Maybe these weeks, we will ask for the results of the autopsy, and God willing, it will come out," Bintoro said when confirmed, Monday, December 4.

Bintoro explained, based on the rules there are several procedures that must be followed to determine the attitude in the case.

"So so far there are still several steps, stages, that we have to do. Because the name is malpractice, there must be procedures that are violated," he said.

Previously, the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim had conducted a crime scene (TKP) in the case of Nanie Darham's death.

"We have examined several documents related to the documents related to the operation," said Deputy Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Henrikus Yossi, on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

Currently, investigators have examined 11 witnesses, both from the clinic and the doctors who at that time participated in the operation.

In addition, examinations were also carried out on several nurses in the clinic, both those directly involved in operating activities and those who received victim registration.

"We have also examined the families of the victims. Furthermore, we will conduct an examination of medical personnel from the ambulance who at the time of the incident provided assistance and took the victim to the hospital," he said.
