Bogor Regency Government Increases Incentives For RT And RW Heads To Rp600 Thousand

BOGOR - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Bogor, West Java, increased the incentive value of the heads of RT and RW from IDR 500 thousand per month to IDR 600 thousand per month effective starting in 2024.

Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan explained that the Bogor Regency Government has prepared a budget of more than Rp. 25 billion in the 2023 Budget (TA) for 20,445 heads of RT and RW throughout Bogor Regency.

"So in 2024 I propose to increase from Rp. 500 thousand to Rp. 600 thousand per month. Alhamdulillah, the hammer has been hit and approved through the Plenary Meeting," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 4.

The increase in incentives for the heads of RT and RW will take effect in January 2024. According to Iwan, this increase in incentive value is a form of the district government's concern for the heads of RT and RW who are the spearhead of the government in the smallest scope. He hopes that the heads of RT and RW will be more enthusiastic in serving themselves to the community.

"Thank you and the highest appreciation for the heads of RT and RW, hopefully, they will be more enthusiastic in their duties, in serving the community. We are committed to continuing to increase RT/RW incentives because their duties are also so important," said Iwan.

His party also facilitated the heads of RT and RW to participate in the Employment Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS). The Bogor Regency Government has budgeted around Rp. 2.6 billion to finance 20,445 heads of RT and RW throughout Bogor Regency during 2024.

The free Manpower BPJS program was initiated by the Bogor Regent starting in mid-2023 and starting in October 2023.

"Well, in 2024 we will budget for a year and it has been approved at the Plenary Meeting with the DPRD last week," said Iwan.

The program, which was attended by the heads of RT and RW in Bogor Regency, consisted of two types, namely JKK (Work Accident Guarantee) and JKM (Death Guarantee). With this program, Iwan hopes that the head of the RT/RW in Bogor Regency will receive protection.

"The main goal of the government is to provide protection to the head of the RT/RW. Hopefully, there will be comfort and guarantees for the heads of RT and RW in carrying out their duties, so that when someone dies, they will receive compensation guarantees from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan," he said.
