Napak Tilas, Kaesang Ziarah To Gus Dur's Grave In Jombang

PSI DPP General Chair Kaesang Pangarep accompanied by PSI DPP Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni made a pilgrimage to the grave of 4th President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) who was at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School Complex, Jombang Regency, East Java.

Kaesang's arrival at Gus Dur's grave was greeted by the caretaker of the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, KH Abdul Hakim or Gus Kikin. The visit to Gus Dur's grave was carried out on the sidelines of the 11th Kaesang blusukan in East Java to carry out a political campaign in the 2024 General Election. "Mas Kaesang asked for a pilgrimage to Gus Dur's grave last night," said PSI Secretary General Raja Juli Antoni, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, December 3. According to him, the pilgrimage to Gus Dur's grave was a sign of strengthening the Indonesian fighting spirit. "Gus Dur is a nation teacher and much can be learned from Gus Dur. His commitment to strengthening Indonesia's diversity should be imitated," said Juli. During the pilgrimage, Kaesang and July seemed to offer prayers and tahlill. Then, followed by the sowing of flowers at Gus Dur's tomb.

Kaesang for five days, starting from Saturday (2/12) to Thursday (6/12) will visit East Java in the context of the 2024 General Election campaign. The 11 regencies/cities include Lamongan, Tuban, Magetan, Banyuwangi, Malang, Jember, Pasuruan, and Surabaya. This issue is expected to reap the sympathy of the people of East Java to win Prabowo-Gibran and vote for PSI in the Legislative Election. The 2024 Legislative Election was attended by 18 national political parties, namely (according to serial numbers) the National Awakening Party, Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, Nasdem Party, Labor Party, Gelora Indonesia Party, Prosperous Justice Party, Nusantara Awakening Party, Hanura Party, Garuda Party, National Mandate Party, Crescent Star Party, Democratic Party, Indonesian Solidarity Party, Perindo Party, United Development Party, and Ummat Party.

In addition, the 2024 Legislative Election was also attended by six local political parties, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Darul Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Aceh People's Independent Solidity Party. The 2024 Legislative Election vote was held simultaneously with the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections on February 14, 2024.
