Prabowo-Gibran TKN Raising Team Asks Volunteers Not To Attack Other Paslons

JAKARTA - Deputy Commander of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Sangap Surbakti invites all volunteers to campaign for Prabowo-Gibran throughout Indonesia using polite methods and not personally attack two other presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Sangap said, the candidates who will advance in the upcoming 2024 presidential election contest are the nation's best sons who have been chosen by the political parties and offered to the people to be elected as leaders of the Indonesian nation in the next five years. Therefore, the ways of politics by attacking the individual candidates are considered Sangap incompatible with the rules and regulations.

"What we highlight is of course the vision and mission of the advanced and converted couple with the experience of the candidate. Attacking personal is not in accordance with our custom, Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran have also conveyed that they should not attack the presidential and vice presidential candidates personally," said Sangap on the sidelines of the National Coordination Meeting of TKN Prabowo-Gibran at the Hotel Borubudur, Jakarta, Saturday, December 2.

Apart from not attacking the personal interests of the other two couples, continued Sangap, he also invited volunteers who were already sweating to campaign for Prabowo-Gibran not to get emotional easily when they found attacks from the winning team of two other presidential-Cawapre candidates.

Growth in campaigns, according to Sangap, can also win the empathy of voters. Voters are believed to tend to choose pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates who don't play much drama.

"Our voters are getting smarter day by day. They understand more and more, those who attack in uncivilized ways and tend to incite are those who are afraid of losing. For that, don't be provoked by emotions if there is a team from other candidate pairs inciting," said Sangap.

The lecturer in Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Kristen Indonesia suggested that if the Prabowo-Gibran volunteers found a party inciting the Prabowo-Gibran pair in the field during the campaign period, the volunteers were asked to embrace and invite their dialogue.

"Don't report to the police very little and so on. Just invite coffee, dialogue to make the inciters aware," he said.
