JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, responded casually to the confession of the former chairman of the KPK, Agus Rahardjo, who said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had asked him to stop the e-KTP corruption case involving the former chairman of the DPR RI who is also the General Chair of Golkar, Setya Novanto (Setnov).

Dasco even quipped Agus Rahardjo, who turned out to be running as a candidate for the DPD RI legislative candidate. The deputy chairman of the DPR understands why Agus suddenly talked about Jokowi trying to intervene in legal events in 2017.

According to Dasco, none of the parties heard President Jokowi's direct orders to stop the Setnov case. He hopes the story is not a far-fetched essay.

Moreover, the palace also said that the meeting between Agus and Jokowi was not included in the palace agenda.

"Look, what he said, no one heard from other parties. We are just prejudiced and well. Don't let people believe that there are other people's statements if A is like this, the witnesses don't exist, sorry for the community," said Dasco.

Understanding the dynamics ahead of the election, the Chairman of the Strategic Coordinator of TKN Prabowo-Gibran also mentioned Agus Rahardjo who was registered as a DPD candidate.

"Not only before the election (Agus's confession just appeared, ed) Mr. Agus Rahardjo happened to be running the DPD RI. Do you understand?," said Dasco with a smile.

Seen on the kpu.go.id website, the name of former KPK Chairman Agus Rahardjo is indeed included as one of the 13 names for the list of candidates for the Regional Representative Council (DPD) for the East Java (East Java) electoral district in the 2024 General Election. Agus Rahardjo is in the electoral district with DPD Chairman La Nyalla Mattalitti.
