Ensure 2024 Hajj Hotel And Catering Services, Ministry Of Religion Flying Teams To Saudi

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has dispatched a accommodation and catering procurement team to start preparing hotels and consumption to welcome the Hajj season of 1445 Hijri/2024 AD.

"The accommodation team and the catering team have left for Saudi Arabia on November 27, 2023," said Director of Foreign Hajj Services at the Ministry of Religion Subhan Cholid in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 29, which was confiscated by Antara.

Subhan said Indonesian pilgrims would stay in Saudi Arabia for approximately 41 days. For nine days in Medina and the rest in Mecca.

The team that departed for Saudi Arabia was to prepare a hotel for the two holy cities.

"The team will prepare congregational hotels in Makkah and Medina," said Subhan.

For catering services, this year prospective pilgrims will get 127 meals, consisting of 27 meals in Medina, 84 meals in Mecca, 15 meals in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna), one heavy snack in Muzdalifah, and one meal at Saudi Airport (Jeddah or Medina).

"The team will prepare a kitchen for the provision of Hajj services in Saudi Arabia. They must be able to prepare food to taste the archipelago," he said.

In addition to accommodation and catering, Indonesian pilgrims will also receive transportation services.

There are four types of transportation services. First, services from Madinah airport to hotels in Medina (and vice versa), inter-city bus services from Medina to Mecca (and vice versa), services from Jeddah airport to hotels in Mecca (and vice versa) and salawat bus services.

"The transportation team will prepare a fleet of buses used by Indonesian pilgrims. We have formulated a number of vehicle specifications, including the age of the year of making a maximum of five years," he said.

According to him, the accommodation, catering and transportation team will serve approximately 30 days in Saudi Arabia.

"The Transportation Team will follow, departing for Saudi Arabia on November 30, 2023," he said.
