TKN: Prabowo-Gibran Prepares To Create A Happy Riang Election

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Deddy Mizwar emphasized the full commitment of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number two to hold elections with a happy atmosphere.

"Prabowo-Gibran all in Elections are cheerful. This is a principle that Pak Prabowo instilled in all of us. We are ready to help the KPU realize peaceful elections, so that it really becomes a people's party," Deddy told reporters in Jakarta, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday, November 28.

Deddy Mizwar, who is now a politician from the Gelora Party, highlighted the importance of a peaceful and conducive atmosphere during the election as an effort to maintain Indonesian unity. He underlined the need for unity to continue development and reminded all parties to prevent divisions.

The statement also alluded to the term "gemoy" which is often used to describe Prabowo. Deddy sees the term as an indication that people want a funny, cheerful campaign, but still full of positive ideas. He stressed that a democratic party should be encouraging without the need to demean or use hoaxes and fake news.

"The term bubble is a kind of sign that people like funny and cheerful campaigns, but also full of ideas. The name of a democratic party must be encouraging. There is no need to vilify, let alone use hoaxes and fake news," he added.

In the context of increasing the number of voters of productive age above 50 percent in the 2024 election, Deddy noted that the upcoming elections will be dominated by novice voters or young voters.

He sees this as bringing about a new tradition, with young voters considered out of the box, wanting renewal, and looking for a cheerful political atmosphere.

Deddy Mizwar invited all presidential and vice presidential candidates to compose their campaign messages with a touch of peace and joy.

"All parties and candidate pairs certainly have political messages to convey, as well as we want to convey the message of sustainability and improvement of President Joko Widodo's government. Let's convey the message peacefully and cheerfully," said Deddy.
