Kaltara KPU Waits For Bawaslu Correction Results Regarding Lawsuit 2 Candidates

TANJUNG SELOR - Two legislative candidates who were not included in the list of permanent candidates (DCT) of the North Kalimantan DPRD (Kaltara) filed a dispute lawsuit at the North Kalimantan Pemilu (Bawaslu) Pengawas Pemilu Agency.

The chairman of the Kaltara KPU, Suryanata Islami, said the two legislative candidates with the initials Arf (NasDem), andAM (Democrats) had gone through the mediation stage until the trial of the adjudication dispute.

"Previously there were 5 people who were decided by the KPU not to be included in DCT, then 2 filed a lawsuit through Bawaslu," he said, Monday, November 27.

In the Bawaslu decision, continued Suryanata, the lawsuit from NasDem was accepted. Meanwhile, the Democratic candidate's lawsuit was received in part or the legislative candidate concerned was asked to complete some of the required provisions.

"But until now we have not received a copy of the decision from Bawaslu Kaltara," he continued.

After the adjudication decision from Bawasluprovinsi is issued, the Kaltara KPU will hold a plenary meeting.

Meanwhile, for the two political parties, his party requested that the legislative candidate complete some of the required provisions.

"We have conveyed this by summoning the LO political party concerned. In accordance with Bawaslu's decision, we will be given 3 days after the adjudication decision," said Suryanata.

Currently, the Provincial KPU has received a letter from Bawaslu, which contains a notification of the correction to the Bawaslu Kaltara decision. In the Bawaslu letter, it ordered Bawaslu Kaltara to convey to the Kaltara KPU, delaying the implementation of the decision on the settlement of the election process dispute until the issuance of the decision on the results of the correction.
