The West Nusa Tenggara High Court (PT) judge upheld the first-degree court verdict stating that EPR (Eka Putra Raharjo) as a functional prosecutor was proven to have received gratuities in the selection of prospective civil servants (CPNS). "The appeal judge stated that the defendant Eka Putra Raharjo was proven to have committed a criminal act of corruption several times together as in the alternative charges of the two public prosecutors," said Mataram District Court (PN) spokesman Kelik Trimargo in Mataram, Antara, Monday, November 27. The indictment contains Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 421 of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code jo. Article 65 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code. He explained that Eka Putra Raharjo's appeal decision had been registered at the Mataram District Court (PN) with Number: 13/PID.TPK/2023/PT MTR. In the description of the verdict, he explained, the judge accepted the appeal request of the parties by changing the first instance court decision (PN) solely regarding the qualifications for criminal acts. "For the criminal sentence handed down, the appeal judge still sentenced him to 3 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 150 million, subsidiary to 3 months in prison," he said. By stating this, he said, the appeal judge ordered the defendant to remain in custody by serving the remaining criminal charges. At the end of the verdict, the judge returned the defendant's file to the public prosecutor for use in other cases. The appeal judge also agreed with the court's decision at the first level who was of the opinion that the witnesses Jatima and witness Husni Tamrin should be included in the process of developing the investigation from the Eka Putra Raharjo case.

The judge also agreed with the decision of the first instance court (PN) which stated that Eka Putra Raharjo used his position as a functional prosecutor to extort a number of CPNS participants who participated in the selection of the NTB Prosecutor's Office and Ministry of Law and Human Rights for the period 2020 to 2021.
