Presidential Election Campaign, TKN Prabowo-Gibran Will Give Free Lunch And Milk

JAKARTA - Three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates will start their first campaign as participants in the 2024 presidential election tomorrow. Pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is scheduled to campaign at 200 city points throughout Indonesia until February 10, 2024.

On the first day tomorrow, the National Campaign Team (TKN) immediately started by socializing a free lunch program for school children and distributing free milk to children under five, pregnant women and the elderly.

Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron Wahid, said the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs would rely on the Regional Campaign Team (TKD) instruments, volunteers and others to socialize Prabowo-Gibran's flagship programs to the public.

"Especially the most popular program is to provide free lunch for school children and toddlers throughout Indonesia and free milk. Well, the socialization is in the form of providing food to school children and free milk," said Nusron at Grand Sahid Jakarta, Monday, November 27.

Due to the many debates that led to the opinion of child exploitation by Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron explained that those who were given free lunch were mothers in the hope of giving them to their children.

"Maybe so that we don't argue, what we give the lunch is for the mother, later the mother will be given the child, thank God, so that later we don't politicize it, we involve the children in campaigns, for example, because this is the program in the future for the children, yes we give the mother, with a message so that later they will be given to their children," explained Nusron.

Previously, Prabowo revealed that he would start his first campaign around the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.

"We kick off around Jabodetabek," said Prabowo after attending the signing at the Grand Sahid Hotel, Jakarta, Monday, November 27.

However, Prabowo did not specify the destination area for his first campaign. He only said that he had shared his duties with Gibran.

"We start to divide tasks, young people move everywhere," he said.
