Ministry Of Religion Allows Campaigns On Campus Along Neutrality: Invite All Candidates, Not One!

MATARAM - Secretary General of the Ministry of Religion Nizar Ali emphasized that campuses may be a campaign location for pairs of presidential-vice presidential candidates as long as they are not side by side for certain candidates. "The campus as the location of the campaign is permissible, as long as it is neutral and does not side with any candidate, so there is no problem," he said after attending ASN coaching activities within the Ministry of Religion, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, November 26. His party did not prohibit campuses under the Ministry of Religion from inviting pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to argue as long as the invitation was not for one candidate pair. "So if you want to invite everyone. Don't invite any of the candidates," he said. According to him, debate or discussion part of dissecting each pair's ideas and ideas in an academic way may be carried out. "However, if you invite, don't be one candidate, present everything so that the public can dissect the future program displayed by each pair of candidates," said Nizar Ali.

In discussions or debates, the chancellor must also be neutral because after all, as an ASN, they cannot do politics. "The Chancellor as an academic role should not take sides," he said.
