7 Perpetrators Of Clashes In Bitung Arrested, 1 Perpetrator Underage

MANADO - Police arrested seven perpetrators involved in clashes between mass organizations in Bitung on Saturday, November 25. The seven perpetrators each had the initials RP, HP, GK, FL, BI, MP, and RA. One of the seven perpetrators is still a minor.

"This clash caused one death due to abuse and material losses in the form of an ambulance and a motorbike," said North Sulawesi Police Chief Inspector General Setyo Budi at a press conference at the Bitung Police Headquarters, Sunday, November 26 evening.

The police confirmed that Bitung City, North Sulawesi is safe and under control. Setyo said the police had also done many things, including holding meetings with a number of community and community leaders. He emphasized that the Bitung Police, Military District Commander 1310, and North Sulawesi Police would continue to provide security.

"For the victims who died and suffered injuries, it was an unexpected disaster. The police have tried from the start to be able to condition that Bitung City is running conducive but because of something and other things, there have finally been clashes," he said.

Meanwhile, Direskrimum Polda North Sulawesi Kombes Pol Gani Siahaan revealed that there were two crime scenes (TKP) in this clash, namely Kampung Sari Kelapa with the victim with the initials AM who suffered serious injuries from religious organizations.

"Then the second incident continued on Jalan Sudirman to be precise in front of the bakery. There were victims from the traditional mass organizations and there were five perpetrators and we have arrested them now," he said.

At the first crime scene, there were perpetrators who fled to Manado, Tomohon and Minahasa. "We have arrested 2 perpetrators and have determined suspects. We continue to develop with members to reveal other perpetrators so that it is possible that there are other suspects," he said.
