JAKARTA - The Bandarlampung City Government (Pemkot) of Lampung Province handled 1,202 cases of acute respiratory tract inspection (ISPA) until November 2023.
"It was recorded that from January to November 2023 we handled 1,202 cases of ARI in Bandarlampung," said Acting Head of the Bandarlampung City Health Office, Desti Mega Putri, ANTARA, Sunday, November 26.
He explained that the ISPA cases in Bandar Lampung tended to decline in 2023 compared to last year, where the Health Office handled the same cases reaching 1,984 patients.
"We are grateful that this year the number of ARI cases has decreased. In 2022, the number of patients is 1,984 cases, this year is 1,202," he said.
Desti also mentioned that the ISPA cases in Bandar Lampung City mostly attacked toddlers compared to children, adolescents, adults, and parents.
"So an acute infection disease that attacks one part or more of the respiratory tract, including sinus tissue or cavities around the nose, central ear cavity and pleura, the majority of the sufferers are toddlers," he said.
