Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Will Continue The War After The Release Of Hostages

JAKARTA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday said he would continue the war against Hamas after releasing the hostages detained in the Gaza Strip.

"After this Israel will continue its goal, to crush Hamas, because Hamas has promised to do this again and again and again," Netanyahu said as quoted by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, November 24.

This was conveyed by Netanyahu to British Foreign Minister David Cameron when discussing the challenges of reaching an agreement to release Israeli hostages,

"We hope to get the hostages out, this is not without challenges, but we must. We hope this first phase is successful and we are determined to get all the hostages out," he said.

Meanwhile, Cameron expressed his hope that the humanitarian break between Israel and Hamasini would be a the opportunity to get the hostages out and provide assistance to Gaza'.

"I think this is an opportunity to get the hostages out and provide assistance to Gaza. There is no reason to take hostage like this. All hostages must be released," said Cameron.

"I hope all those responsible and behind this deal can make it happen, for the relief of the family, including, of course, some British nationals are being held hostage. And for that, let's hope this can run smoothly." Cameron said.

Earlier Qatar said the humanitarian break agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip would begin on Friday at 10 am local time (12.00 WIB).

"The first group of civilians hostage will be exchanged on Friday at 4 pm," said Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari at a press conference in Doha.

He said 50 hostages would be released in four days.

"This group of hostages includes 13 women and children," added al-Ansari.

Israel estimates there were about 239 of its citizens detained by Hamas following a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group on October 7.

Israel responded to the attack with relentless ground and air military operations in the Gaza Strip that killed 14,854 Palestinians, including 6,150 children and more than four thousand women. according to health authorities in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israel's death toll reached 1,200 people according to official data.
