Jokowi's Moment Of Playing Football, Using Number 23 And No Player Dare To Sled The President

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) shared photos of his excitement playing football with students at Sorido Field, Biak, Papua through the social media account @jokowi.

In the caption of his uploaded photo, Jokowi admitted that for the last two weeks he had not exercised after a trip abroad and the busy domestic agenda.

"So, during a visit to Papua yesterday, I also exercise with students from a number of schools in Biak Numfor Regency," Jokowi wrote.

In a video uploaded by the State Secretariat, Jokowi came to the Sorido Football Field which seemed to be crowded with residents.

Jokowi joined the field wearing the number 23 jersey playing football with ministers and students from a number of schools in Biak Numfor Regency.

Throughout the match, the president has received no less tight guard from opposing players when dribbled. Jokowi had been a striker and scored, before trying to become a goalkeeper and getting a return goal from the student team.

"The audience cheered, maybe this is the first time they have seen the president and minister play football with students. The match ended in a draw," he said.

Jokowi said that he deliberately invited students to play football together as a form of motivation for young seeds.

"The skills, potential, excellent physical needs to be built from an early age so that later they can develop and compete at the national to international level," said Jokowi.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino responded to the upload of a photo of President Joko Widodo playing football with students in Biak, Papua.

Gianni said that he was very happy to see the President's activities, which he conveyed in the Instagram story (Instastory) account @gianni_infantino which was monitored in Jakarta, Thursday.

In the Instastory, Gianni re-uploaded a photo uploaded by President Jokowi's Instagram account, namely @jokowi playing football. Gianni wrote that football is for everyone.
