JAKARTA - The Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) is still waiting for a notification letter for the determination of the suspect Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri by the National Police. "If the letter has been received, it will be processed according to the applicable laws and regulations," said Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, November 23. Based on the case conducted by Polda Metro Jaya on Wednesday, Firli Bahuri was named a suspect in the alleged extortion case by the KPK leadership against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

This was done by Polda Metro Jaya in accordance with the findings of sufficient evidence to establish Firli as a suspect in the alleged corruption case in the form of extortion, or receipt of gratuities or receipt of gifts or promises by civil servants or state administrators related to his position, related to the handling of legal problems at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia 2020-2023. Responding to the new development, Ari explained that related to the replacement of Firli's position in the KPK and other policies, he would follow the provisions stipulated in Article 32 of Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Second Amendment to the KPK Law.
