Sandiaga's Advice For MSME Products To Reach The International Market

PONTIANAK - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahudin Uno gave advice to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in West Kalimantan so that their products can penetrate the international market.

"Every industry player must understand that technological developments will clearly affect the quality and progress of the products produced. In order to go international, industrial products, both carried out on a large and small scale, cannot be denied to be able to progress, we must continue to keep up with the times," Sandiaga said while attending the inauguration of the Mandiri MSME DPP board in Pontianak. reported by ANTARA, Saturday, November 18.

According to Sandiaga, so that businesses continue to grow, the most important thing is that business actors do not give up easily and must be able to take advantage of every opportunity that exists.

"I used to be an employee, and became a victim of layoffs, then I tried to start a business that started with three employees and thank God because I didn't give up, it could make businesses continue to grow," he said.

Sandiaga also said that MSMEs must transform towards digital and continue to collaborate by expanding their connections. Then, business actors must be able to innovate products, be able to compete focused on the market and follow existing trends

"Business actors must also be able to facilitate transactions by utilizing technology. By controlling this, we can penetrate the ASEAN and International markets," he said.

To facilitate the digital marketing process, according to Sandiaga, business actors must know what social media platforms are most widely used, the first is Youtube, TikTok and WhatsApp.

After knowing the right social media platform, the next step is to be able to take advantage of the social media to market products. For this reason, business actors must be able to create good selling content, to attract the attention of netizens to buy their products.

"The content contains positive and educational things, because people are tired of receiving negative content, what else is political. For this reason, strategies are needed to market their products on social media," he said.
