The Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep is considering inviting the Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution to join his party after leaving the PDI-P.

"Yes, we will see it in the future," said Kaesang after the friendship with North Sumatra's Jokowi Volunteers in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

Kaesang was reluctant to comment on the PDI-P urging Bobby to return his membership card (KTA) because he was from a different party.

"It's someone's kitchen, I don't mind," he said.

Even though he was in Medan, Kaesang admitted that he did not discuss the KTA when he met his brother-in-law.

"There is nothing (discussed), I am different parties because of it," he said.

Kaesang admitted that he had met Bobby Nasution during his political safari in Medan. However, the meeting was not meant to discuss politics or the invitation to join PSI, but rather to family gatherings.

"Yes, I have found it, but when we meet we don't discuss it (political)," said Kaesang.

The youngest son of President Joko Widodo and the PSI DPP entourage conducted a political safari in Medan during 12-13 November 2023 to win PSI and presidential and vice presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 election.

Since becoming PSI General Chair, Kaesang has been aggressively carrying out political safaris to a number of regions in the country.

Before going to Medan, Kaesang conducted political safaris in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Manado, North Sulawesi, Bandung, West Java, several areas in Java and Jakarta.
