Dragged By Currents On Batu Belig Beach Bali, Chinese Citizen Found Dead

The Bali SAR Team found the body of a foreign national (WNA) with the initials XFJ (34) who was swept away while swimming at Batu Belig Beach, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

The victim's body was found on Wednesday (8/11) at around 08.50 WITA. The victim was found floating on Petitenget Beach, Kuta District, Badung, Bali.

"We found the victim still floating in the middle of the sea in front of Petitenget Beach, a distance of approximately 100 meters from the shoreline," said Head of Operations and Alert Section of the Denpasar SAR office I Wayan Suwena.

Furthermore, the victim's body was evacuated by the jetski team to Batu Belig Beach and taken to Sanglah Central General Hospital (RSUP), Denpasar City.

The victim was previously swept away while swimming with a Ukrainian woman with the initials MK (30) on Tuesday (7/11), at around 16.05 WITA. The victim of XFJ at that time has not been found.

Furthermore, the Bali SAR team immediately conducted a search by dispatching 12 personnel to Seminyak Beach.

Arriving at the location, the team was divided into two teams, namely conducting sweeps in the waters using a rubber boat and other teams combing along the lips of Batu Belig Beach.

The search was focused around the location of the drowning victim with the help of aqua eye equipment or detecting objects under the surface of the water.

However, after searching for approximately an hour or until 18.00 WITA, the joint SAR team has not been able to find the victim. The SAR team resumed the search today and finally found the victim's body.

"(The Constitutional Court victim) was successfully evacuated safely and has been rushed to the hospital, the victim is a woman, a citizen from Ukraine," he said.
