InDRAMAYU - The Panji Gumilang Legal Team submitted a suspension of detention and exception related to the indictment in the inaugural trial of the alleged criminal act of blasphemy which was held at the Indramayu District Court (PN), West Java, today. Hendra said Panji Gumilang complained that his hands were still feeling pain, so treatment was needed. "The consideration of the health condition that today must have been examined. There are complaints of broken hands," he said. Meanwhile, regarding the three charges submitted by the Public Prosecutor against Panji Gumilang, his party has not been able to provide further information. "Earlier I heard everything, the program (trial) read the indictment," he said. Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Indramayu District Court, Yanto Arianto, said that the Indramayu District Court Judges had the authority to assess whether the suspension of detention submitted by Panji Gumilang could be granted or not. In principle, he said, the Indramayu District Court Panel of Judges would discuss this first. "For the suspension of detention, it has been conveyed earlier but it is the authority of the panel of judges to assess whether it is granted or not. Of course it was discussed by the Panel of Judges and submitted at the next trial," Yanto explained.
He said that on Wednesday (15/11) next week, the Indramayu District Court would hold a follow-up session against Panji Gumilang. "The panel of judges will schedule a trial for the exception of the defendant and his attorney on Wednesday next week," he said.
