Welcoming The U-17 World Cup, The Surabaya GBT Is Equipped With Three-Stop Doors

JAKARTA - A number of workers made preparations for the opening of the U-17 World Cup at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT) in Surabaya, East Java on November 10, including the installation of a three-layer entrance.

One of Muh Sayyidi's security officers said the gates had been installed all night since Friday, November 3.

"Yesterday night everything was installed, lastly at gate A, near the main entrance," he said in Surabaya, Sunday, November 5.

According to him, three gate tickets for audience entry have been installed on the west to south sides of the GBT Stadium. Each gate will have three layers of guard, namely a showing ticket, body checking and scanning ticket.

In addition, he continued, a number of workers also made preparations at the GBT Stadium, from PLN officers, Telkom to volunteers who would help during the U-17 World Cup.

Sayyidi explained that currently access to enter the GBT Stadium area has been tightened, everyone who wants to enter will be examined and asked for their needs.

"Everyone who wants to enter will be asked for needs and if there is no official ID card from the committee, they are not allowed to enter and then public transportation, every time they enter and leave the stadium area they will be examined by officers," he said.

From the direction he received, starting November 5, 2023, it will be even tighter and all vehicles are not allowed to enter the ring area of one stadium.

"Tomorrow public transportation will not be allowed to enter, such as public cars and motorbikes because they have to be sterile," he said.

At the same location, a generator set officer named Febi Adrian said that the device must have been installed this Saturday.

"Now we will check the location first, the equipment is now being brought here and today it must be installed," he said.

He hopes that the U-17 World Cup can run smoothly and successfully in the implementation and achievements of the Indonesian National Team are also good.

"Hopefully everything goes smoothly and there are no obstacles. Successful implementation and successful in the national team," he said.

Previously, General Chairperson of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir stated that the Surabaya GBT Stadium had reached 100 percent feasibility for the U-17 World Cup.
