The flood disaster of forest and land fires (Karhutla) occurred again, this time the incident occurred at the foot of Mount Rinjani, Sembalun Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The fire point was identified based on a report on Thursday at around 07.00 and until Friday morning the blackout was still being carried out. The data compiled by the Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), until this news was revealed that there had been no casualties in the incident. "The fire was recorded as having scorched 95 (hectares) Ha land," said the Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Abdul Muhari in his statement, Friday, November 3. West Nusa BPBD and the joint team immediately carried out extinguishing efforts, control, and security in the burned area, this was done to minimize the possibility of expanding hotspots.

Efforts to extinguish the fire were carried out using water sourced from the village government. Control efforts are also carried out by making an iron (fire barrier) around the location of the foot of the mountain in order to cut off the route that is likely to be traversed if the hotspots continue to spread. Security efforts were also carried out by a joint team consisting of the TNI and Polri.
