1 Poor Family, 1 Bachelor Becomes A Ganjar-Mahfud Program To Solve Structural Poverty

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo- Mahfud MD, has plans to implement a program that targets every poor family to have one family member with a bachelor's degree, if he is elected in the 2024 presidential election.

Roby Muhamad, Director of National Winning Team (TPN) Ganjar-Mahfud, explained, "So the program of one poor undergraduate family is indeed important and interesting, one of which is because it is inspired by Mas Ganjar himself," Roby told reporters, Tuesday, October 31.

Furthermore, Roby added, "Only the second brother can go to college, so Mas Ganjar studies at UGM. With this lecture successfully raising the standard of family life, that is one of the initiative backgrounds," he continued.

Following his explanation, Roby cited the results of research showing education as an effective way to improve family welfare. With higher education, the potential of families to improve their standard of living is even greater.

Mas Ganjar really believes that education is the key to getting out of poverty. Therefore, the program of one poor family has one undergraduate, there must be, it is more likely to advance to the class of his life, his livelihood. The implementation is expected to be comprehensive throughout Indonesia," he explained.

In the context of the 2024 presidential election, Ganjar Pranowo is paired with Mahfud MD. The Ganjar-Mahfud MD duo received support from several political parties such as PDIP, PPP, Perindo Party, and Hanura. Both of them registered at the KPU on October 19.
