Check 4 Ministry Of Agriculture Employees Regarding Alleged Firli-SYL Meeting, KPK Council: We Focus On Ethics

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of the KPK, Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean, said that four employees of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) had been investigated regarding the alleged meeting between KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri and former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo today, Tuesday, October 31.

He said the four employees examined were the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono who was an anti-corruption commission detainee.

"(The one being examined, red) is an aide, driver, secretary general, the other is not finished because he is being detained at Polda Metro Jaya," said Tumpak to reporters at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 31.

Tumpak did not want to explain further about the examination because the ethical process could not be conveyed to the public. He only said that the KPK Supervisory Board was focusing on investigating alleged ethical violations at the meeting.

"We are checking ethics, yes, the focus is ethics, not criminal acts," he said.

Adding Tumpak, member of the KPK Supervisory Board Albertina Ho stated that there are still a number of Ministry of Agriculture employees who will be examined in the alleged ethical violation. However, he did not want to specify who the party was.

"There is still one more plan. A total of more than five," said Albertina.

Previously reported, the KPK Council clarified the KPK leadership, namely Nurul Ghufron, Johanis Tanak and Alexander Marwata. Of the three, they were investigated about the alleged extortion related to the handling of the alleged corruption case at the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture.

"In general, related to allegations of extortion and clarification related to photos, that's all the questions are. Regarding the extortion, I don't know what happened," said Alex at the ACLC Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Monday, October 30.

Meanwhile, KPK Chairman Firli has not yet been examined by the KPK Council. He asked for a postponement until November 8 without giving a clear reason even though he was in the office.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nawawi Pomolango, has not been able to provide information because he is sick. The report on alleged ethical violations of the Firli and Syahrul meeting was conveyed by the Law Concerned Student Committee on Friday, October 6.
