After The Great Fire, The Bogor Leuwiliang Market Trader Will Get Temporary Expenditure December 2023

The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) is targeting the Temporary Shelter (TPS) for Leuwiliang Market traders to be completed in December. The market experienced a severe fire recently.

"If you calculate the day (of work) for 40 days per day, it might fall (complete) in December," said Acting Head of Leuwiliang Sub-district, Pelitawan in Bogor, Monday, October 30, as reported by Antara.

The development was carried out by the Department of Trade and Industry (Disdagin) while the provision of land was carried out by the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Pasar Tohaga.

"So maybe later there will be stages of construction because of the construction in the location of the market circle," he said.

The Bogor Regency Government disbursed an Unexpected Expenditure Budget Post (BTT) worth IDR 4.4 billion to build the TPS. The budget is used to build 1,033 TPS by the Bogor Regency Disdagin.

Meanwhile, the President Director of the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Pasar Tohaga Harris Setiawan explained that the location of the Leuwiliang Market TPS is on Ring Road in Leuwiliang Market.

He believes that this location is the best place to temporarily accommodate traders.

"The location of the Leuwiliang Market TPS is on Ring Road which is currently in the market (parking area)," said Harris.

Hundreds of stalls of basic food, fruit and clothing traders at Leuwiliang Market experienced a fire on Wednesday, September 27 at around 20.00 WIB until Thursday, September 28 at 13.00 WIB.

Based on data from the Bogor Regency Disdagin, of the 590 kiosks in Leuwiliang Market, 550 kiosks were burned down. Then, from the loss of 641 stalls, 580 stalls of them caught fire.

Not only that, the fire incident which lasted more than 12 hours also scorched 450 stalls and 35 stalls of street vendors (PKL).
