Cincau Factory In Duren Sawit Explodes, Machine Throws Hits Residents' Houses, One Person Injured In Head

JAKARTA The explosion in Klender, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta caused a stir among residents on Jalan Kapitan No. 14 RT 17/RW 004, Wednesday, October 25. How could I not, as a result of the explosion, the steam sink engine that made a scene hit a resident's house. The damage was in the kitchen of the house.

Alim Sawana (37), one of the residents of the house, said that the incident occurred at around 13.30 WIB while he was sleeping on the second floor of his house.

"Suddenly there was an explosion like a bomb. As it turned out, a steam engine from the benchmark factory opposite the Sunter River exploded and was thrown into the kitchen of his house," he said.

His younger brother, Tri Wendasari (35) suffered a head injury while in the kitchen. And he was immediately rushed to Yadika Hospital, Pondok Bambu for treatment.

"My brother was injured in the head as a result of being hit by rock debris which was destroyed by the impact of an iron machine," he said.

Menurut dia, pabrik pembuat cincau memang berada di Jalan Cipinang Muara 3 RT 10/RW 15 Kelurahan Cipinang Muara, Kecamatan Jatinegara, namun jaraknya hanya sekitar 100 meter.

"The position is indeed a border, which is limited to the Sunter River channel," he said.

Alim could not confirm how much damage he suffered as a result of the incident, but he would ask for compensation from the owner of the incandescent factory.

Meanwhile, one of the employees of the benchmark factory, Yusril (33) said that before being thrown into the house, the crew of the benchmark maker exploded.

He suspected that the vapour casser was thrown into a resident's house because the pressure was too high.

"I don't know exactly what happened at the beginning. The water was in normal condition, the steam opening was also normal. But when he poured his brother suddenly the steam furnace exploded and fell into the house of a resident who was across the river," said Yusril.

According to him, there were no casualties and injuries from the benchmark factory. However, the factory wall was damaged by the cassava machine.
