JAKARTA - A residence on Jalan Rukun Rt04, Rw04, East Pejaten, South Jakarta Sunday Market caught fire. One person suffered burns. Picket Officer of the Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Sukur Sarwono confirmed the incident. The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 24, at 19.58 WIB.

"That's right, the object that caught fire to the residence. The cause was a short circuit," said Sukur in his statement, Tuesday, October 24.

Sukur explained that the incident began when the witness, Rakiman (62) saw a fire from beside his house on the second floor. On that basis, he tried to extinguish the fire with makeshift tools.

"But the fire is getting bigger and residents will immediately contact the BIN post fire department," he said.

A total of 15 firefighters and 43 personnel were deployed. As a result, the fire was extinguished at 21.10 WIB.

"Starting to arrive at 20.05 WIB, localize at 20.30 WIB. Cooling at 20.45 WIB. 21.10 WIB," he said.

On the occasion, Sukur explained that one resident suffered burns in this fire incident. This happened because at that time the victim was trying to extinguish the fire, but instead hit his leg.
