The Point Of The Constitutional Court Building In Google Maps Becomes A 'Family Court'

JAKARTA - The presidential and vice presidential age limit decided by the Constitutional Court (MK) has become a byword lately. The discussion about the Constitutional Court cannot be separated from the alleged conflict of interest by Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman.

Anwar is known to be the uncle of Gibran Rakabuming Raka. In the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the age limit for presidential and vice presidential candidates who are now at least 40 years old or have experience being regional heads, Anwar is suspected of widening Gibran to become vice presidential candidate through the Constitutional Court's decision.

The issue of Anwar's intervention in the Constitutional Court's decision bears the term in the community, the Constitutional Court which is natural to become a "Family Court".

Even today, the term "Family Court" has not yet been extinguished. The proof is that the name of the Constitutional Court building in Google Maps has been changed to the Family Court.

I don't know who changed the name of the Constitutional Court building located on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat No. 6, Gambir, Central Jakarta. But for sure, the location point of the Constitutional Court building was edited after obtaining approval from Google.

"It's not easy, but if for example there are quite a lot of people who edit and change names, then they can get approval. Google is a machine, if many are renamed, it could be that the machine responds directly by changing the sign point," said a technology practitioner, Tuesday, October 24.

The Constitutional Court granted part of the judicial review lawsuit related to the presidential and vice-presidential candidates. The Constitutional Court states that presidential and vice-presidential candidates under the age of 40 can still run for the presidential election as long as they have experience as regional heads.

"Granted the petitioner's petition in part," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman in a decision at the Constitutional Court hearing, Monday, October 16.

In the Constitutional Court's decision, the petitum for adding alternative requirements is mentioned as having experience as a regional head

"Declare that Article 169 letter q of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections which states that the age at least 40 years is contrary to the 1945 Constitution as long as it is not interpreted as at least 40 years old or has been / is currently in the position elected through elections including regional head elections so Article 169 letter q of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections reads that he is at most 40 years old or has been in office elected through elections including regional head elections," said Anwar Usman.
